The Fraud in Dark Patterns

In its earliest stages, this new Fall 2024 project focuses on designing for deception online.  This time, we are taking our interest in the fundamental principles of fraud and looking at whether and how any of these inform our understanding of what is going on with dark patterns. Stay tuned as we consider some of the unseen, deceptive layers used to manipulate people online.
