Indiana University programs with which I work most closely

The Informatics PhD program at IU’s Luddy School is organized into a variety of programs of study, or “tracks.”  In my first year at IU, I became the director of the “Computing, Culture, and Society” PhD track (previously known as the “social informatics” track).  I remain a core faculty member in that track.

Now, along with my colleague Patrick Shih, I am one of the co-founding co-Directors of the brand-new Animal Informatics track.

I work closely with colleagues and students in the Privacy and Security track, the Intelligent Interactive Systems track, and the Human-Computer Interaction and Design tracks in Informatics as well.

At IU, I am also part of the faculty in the Center for Integrated Studies of Animal Behavior and the Cognitive Science programs, as well as an adjunct member of the Department of Sociology.
