About the Project

In my book project on camouflage, I am connecting what happens in the natural world between species with face-to-face instances of camouflage among humans, and then online interactions, with digital forms of camouflage such as inauthentic social media accounts and the generation of mis- and dis-information. I began working on this project during a wonderful, much-appreciated visiting fellowship from Cambridge University’s Center for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (CRASSH) in the spring of 2017. This early talk is my first attempt to explain the connection I see between all these things.
